Assessors
Assessors are social services professionals who are trained to assess our trainees against our unit standards. They may also help sign up trainees into one of our national qualification programmes and with employers to identify their staff training needs.
Assessors are registered with us the according to the scope of their area of expertise. We make sure they have experience which is relevant to the qualifications they assess (for example, someone assessing foster care must have experience working in foster care). Some of our assessors have experience in more than one area and are qualified to assess in all of these areas.
We currently have more than 50 registered assessors covering most areas of the country. They assess trainees against all our unit standards and qualifications.
If you are a social services professional and are interested in becoming one of our registered assessors, this section has more information.
